OK, I'm feeling dumber and dumber. My primary reason for embodying something as an mbean is to bring some JNI into the environment. I don't need 'remote' access at all, I just need an ordinary stateless session bean to get to the object that uses the JNI. I was assuming that I wanted to do this by advertising something via JNDI. So, does that give me any less complex options than the FAQ? Whatever I do also has to work in websphere.
