You're right - I'm glad I'm wrong!  The documentation gives the impression that 
the URL property names are are only used for remoting some of the 
configuration, like so:

  | The XXX_URL names correspond to locations that can be specified using a URL 
to access remote locations, for example, http URLs against a web server.
  | 

...which is from:

http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/admin-devel/Chap1.html

This would seem like too basic and important a feature to have so cryptic a 
configuration if JBoss wants to gain market share in the web hosting domain, 
which I would think would be extremely important.
