Hi there! We are trying to install a second JBoss (not an instance, a full Server) for test-reasons on one AIX machine.
JBoss-3.2.6 is running fine. After installing the JBoss-4.0.5 in a seperate directory, changing several ports, the logfile reads after starting with following error: 16:00:34,358 INFO [Log4jService$URLWatchTimerTask] Configuring from URL: resource:log4j.xml 16:00:34,662 INFO [WebService] Using RMI server codebase: http://xXxXxX:18083/ 16:00:35,593 INFO [NamingService] Started jndi bootstrap jnpPort=11099, rmiPort=11098, backlog=50, bindAddress=/0.0.0.0, Client SocketFactory=null, Server [EMAIL PROTECTED] 16:00:36,289 ERROR [PooledInvoker] Starting failed jboss:service=invoker, type=pooled java.net.BindException: The socket name is already in use. Do I have forgotten to change some values @ the Ports ? Is it better to have the ports changed via binding.xml ? Thanks for reading.. and thanks in advance for an answer ;).
