I see the same behaviour. I can get around it by :
renderResponse.setContentType("text/html");
PortletRequestDispatcher rd =
this.getPortletContext().getRequestDispatcher(uri);
if (rd != null)
{
rd.include(renderRequest, renderResponse);
}
else
{
writeError(renderResponse, uri);
}
Not sure if this is a bug, or a feature.....
