I am using jboss cache to create dynamic caches as and when needed so I am not using any static xml configuration...I just create all on the fly
What I am doing when the cache is not required is stopping the service but do I need to also destroy the service to release the resources held against that cache....The reason I ask is that I am getting a permgen out of memory error when I dynamically load and unload my service... My caching api allows me to drop in any cache so I removed jboss cache and just added a simple LRU hashmap in its place for testing and I don't get these problems!? Just guessing that there must be something that I call to release jbosscache instance resources once its need required anymore! Thanks in advance, Colin.
