Are you directing your requests to the Apache server (i.e., port 80)? Are the application requests being load balanced to the two servers or is everything being forwarded to one of the servers? If you use the configuration provided on the wiki page, you should have failover and load balancing enabled.
If you only start the server on port 8180, do your requests get handled by it?
