Sorry if this is a ridiculously simple question, but I've been trying to understand the relationship between the Max, Total and Free Memory as reported by the JMX console. Is there a way to use this inforamtion to derive the acutual amount of memory being used by the JVM as a percentage of the total memory available to it? Any help would be much appreciated.
