if you take a look at how this is done in portal 2.2, it's easy to change this
via the theme css with the following selectors:
.portlet-content-center {
background-color: #fff;
background-repeat: repeat;
vertical-align: top;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Sans-Serif, sans-serif;
font-size: 12px;
}
.portlet-body {
background-color: #fff;
}
in portal 2.0 this is a lot harder, I believe.
