Our production guys recently reported that their load balancer was not properly
moving requests between our servers and it was discovered that when it was
pinging the web server, the following reponse was received:

  | HTTP/1.1 505 HTTP Version Not Supported
  | Date: Wed, 30 Nov 2005 15:25:02 GMT
  | Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1
  | Connection: close
  |

I have verified that I also get this reponse from my local development machine
by connecting via telnet and requesting GET / HTTP/1.1

We're running JBoss 4.0.1 SP1

In the logs, I see messages such as...

  | INFO 2005-11-30 10:24:09,791 [org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol]
Initializing Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-0.0.0.0-80
  |

So I simply assumed that HTTP/1.1 was supported. Is this not the case?
