Try this: 1. Drop database. If using 'mysql', login as 'portal' and do this: 'drop database jbossportal;'
2. delete the 'data/portal' 3. delete the jboss-portal.sar in server/default/deploy 4. re-deploy portal-2.2 If this does not work, check to make sure that you are using an older version of mysql connector or using an up-to-date version of jboss application server.
