Perhaps we are talking about two different things. The bug fix I was talking about was in reference to a warning that should not have been logged. The fix was to move the check inside the synchronized block.
What you are seeing may be different. I'm not sure. What is you key? Is it a string or some other kind of object? Are you seeing the same message in 1.2.7.0.?
