Hi All,
I am new to the JCS framework and looking out for the possible options to
have cache data on remote server. I would like to explain my scenario first;
I have one application deployed on Server1 which will get the data from
database and put it in the JCS cache. If i am trying to retrieve the data
from Local Server, its working very fine and fast. The database is getting
refreshed every 5 minutes, so i am using Timer class which will call the
populateCache function to refresh the cache data.
Now i have some other applications running on other servers, Server2,3..,
and my requirement is that the applications on these servers should connect
to cache server at Server1 and get the data.
I read the documentation of JCS Remote cache and load the
RemoteCacheStartupServlet on server1 startup which will read the
remote.cache.ccf file placed in WEB-INF/classes folder and start the remote
cache server at localhost:1102.
Similarly i created Remote Auxiliary Cache Client, referenced by RFailover,
in the cache.ccf file on Server2 application. Now when i am trying to get
the Object from this remote client, i am getting null.
* I have put ("TEST", "ABC") object in the cache on server1 and it should be
accessed from Server2 application.
* I am using the same region name while initializing the JCS cache;
JCS.getInstance("Database")
I am not sure whether i did everything correctly or missed out few things.
