We also have tried to get help on the checkbox functionality but, as of yet, no one seems to have any comments on the behavior of the checkbox. We have the same problem. A value is inserted when the checkbox is checked but it does not update the database when the checkbox is unchecked. This may be a limitation of DB forms since no one has posted an answer to the problem.
RE: I'm a dbforms newbie, working on my first app. I'm having trouble getting check boxes to update my database if the box is changed from checked to unchecked. The checkbox displays the existing value correctly, updates the field from "no" to "yes" but does not update the db field if I uncheck. Selects work ok. I don't have any radios yet. The value is stored in a mySQL char field as "no' or "yes". Null allowed, default="no". Here's the checkbox syntax (from memory): <db:checkbox fieldName="fitness" value="yes" /> Any ideas.
