Hi Sergio, Hi Henner,

I'm silently listening to the m.list ;^)
Up to now I don't have the time and resources to commit during the week...
firewalls rulez !
Here in Milano (bleah!) the temperature is about 37/38 celsius degree and my
apartment is a furnace ... 8^( - and during the evening my remaining neurons
are committed to guitar and deep purple ;^)

Anyway... I like the idea to use standard SQL clauses where possible instead of
old filters... but I still have to switch to the new DbForms for serious
projects.
*IMHO*, 1.4 version is a NEW version - I don't care too much about
compatibility with other apps. I really like the work Henner did to simplify
the event system. I think the old one was too complex and too difficult to
mantain / extend. Ok, I didn't investigate too much, but I didn't have the
support of the original creators, too.
So, if Sergio wants to simplify / replace a feature with a better one - with
code that:

- works ;^)
- is tested
- is clear, commented and javadokked

for me it's OK.
If that code is cleaner than the code of the old feature, ok++ !!
Anyway, I'd like to ask to developers to start to *write documentation about
internals* - I started (and still must finish !!) with uml diagrams and simple
descriptions about them.
I'd like also to write / have documentation about form's parameters, their
decomposition (what parameters reference the current table, the current
position, etc).
Some http dumps and some http client classes (I'm watching the commons
httpclient in those days) that simulates dbforms http headers should be
sufficient.

My .02 euro, as always.
