I was playing around with DbForms 2.0 (lovely DEBUG messages activated everywhere :-) --
You might try adding this to your log4j.properties file.
It doesn't turn off all logging -- but does eliminate much of the unnecessary stuff. My logs get to be over 8 MB for one startup without it, and are much much less with it.
log4j.logger.org.dbforms.servlets.commons.digester.Digester=OFF
