Hi,

I am using a postgres database and the Devgui program does not like some of the types I am using

What are you trying to do? Generate pages with DevGui? If so, click the 3rd tab (xml config) in DevGui and make sure there is an x in the "Try to write standard names for unknown field types in dbforms.xml config file".

The validation section of the users manual(20.7.4) specifies
byte,short,long,integer,double,float
as valid validation types

If you are trying to make a validation.xml file, I still think using standard names would enable these files to be generated but really can't say. Anyway, I suspect you are having a common problem that can be solved with a checkbox as described above. Apologies if wrong...
