As there is often confusion over which list to post to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED], I think we should move all discussion to the interest list and have the developers list be for notification of cvs events only so I took the liberty to change our homepage to say:
DbForms Interest - use to ask questions, discuss problems, and make suggestions.
DbForms Developers - record of cvs changes.
My reasons are:
1) discussions on feature proposals are relevent to users - they might oppose a change or can suggest an enhancement. It could also help get more users to make contributions
2) looking over the developers list, I can see many questions that should really be in the interest list especially if people want to search for answers -- having to search only one list is easier than two.
In the past, we have discussed a lot about future releases on the interest list and we do not have Tomcat mailing list volume which makes it difficult for developers to go through the users list to discuss proposed changes etc.
Anyway, I think we need to clarify our list usage. -- Shawn
