Hi

I started using DBForms a couple of weeks ago and it was installed
according to the online installation guide. I have successfully used it
for selects and to some extent for inserts. However if using it for updates,
I simply cannot get it to work. When changing a record and clicking on Update button,
it just reverts back to the old values. No errors in output og log4j logfile.
The second issue I have discovered is that <%= position_TABLE%> never finds
a value. I is allways blank. That is a major problem when navigating from one
JSP to another, as I am allways brought to the first record, and not the
record I really wanted to go to.

In order to make sure that my application aren't to blame, I used devgui to
analyse the mysql tables in my application to generate a dbforms-config.xml
and then used the XSLT tab to generate JSP files. The JSP files generated with
devgui has exactly the same issues as with my own application.

The bookstore example runs just fine from the same servlet container, thus
I suspect that you have forgotten something really important in the
online installation guide ?

For the past week I have been trying to compare the Bookstore example
with my own app and with the devgui generated app, and I simply cannot find
what I am missing. It's really frustrating.

I also have some minor issues with inserts, but I can live with it. But the
first two issues are showstoppers.

I hope you have any additional setup steps that will make my application work.

Thank you

best regards
Audun
