I would agree. I use the dynCalendar found on
http://www.phpguru.org/static/dyncalendar.html because it 
   - has a callback function for the dateformatting - so you can use your
own date format 
   - the monthnames and daynames are configurable - important for us.
   - based on css.

Any other suggestions? What do you use?
