Previously with the dateField tag, using the <date-format> attribute changed _how_the_data_is_sent_to_the_database.
example -- <date-format>yyyy-MM-dd</date-format>
When using a pattern attribute declared in a message properties file, the data format sent to the database will not change, will it? IE, when using different date formats for German and Japanese locales, what format is the data sent to the database in. Is that still decided by using the <date-format> attribute?
