hi,
i am new with dbforms and i have a problem to run the devgui.
i have unzipped the dbforms2.3 in C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents\tools\DbForms\dbforms_2.3_20040329
i have set a DBFORMS_HOME = C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents\tools\DbForms\dbforms_2.3_20040329
i have java jdk1.5.0beta2 in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0
i have set the JAVA_HOME = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0
i have MySql 4.0.14 under Windows2000 NT


i have set my path with the /bin of the java directorie and also put the JDBC jar :
C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents\tools\DbForms\jdbcDriver\mysql-connector-java-3.0.14-production\mysql-connector-java-3.0.14-production-bin.jar
i have a "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: and"
i have read the doc but i don't understand what i have forget ?
does someone could help me ?

AFAIKT, your set up seems ok. So you are running devgui.bat correct. Can you see a line like:


 set _CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%DBFORMS_HOME%\dist\dbforms1.1.3.jar;

yours will be a different dbforms version, but just check that the dbforms jar is being set correctly in your classpath.

Um also looking at the script I see

rem *** DbForms Developer's swing based GUI ***
rem *** start script for win32 systems ***
rem
rem Environment Variable Prerequisites:
rem
rem DBFORMS_HOME
rem
rem Note: This batch file does not function properly
rem if DBFORMS_HOME contains spaces or is ended with a semi-colon.


so why don't you try adjusting your DBFORMS_HOME to something without spaces
