AW: [dbforms] hsqldb newbie question

1. Have a look at the hsql documentation.

2. Use jdbc:hsqldb:$(SERVLETCONTEXT_REALPATH)/WEB-INF/db_hsqldb/bookstore for in the manager and replace the variable  with the correct path.

3. There is no directory bookstore because hsql do not use one!

Hi,

Now I can run bookstore samples on my windows 2000 server.I have checked   dbforms-config.xml file and I found 

 

 name      = "jdbc:hsqldb:$(SERVLETCONTEXT_REALPATH)/WEB-INF/db_hsqldb/bookstore"  is included in it.

 

I noticed that under C:\tomcat\webapps\bookstore_2.4_20040804\WEB-INF\db_hsqldb, there are four hsqldb related files.

They are bookstore.properties 

              bookstore.script

              bookstore.data

              create_tables.sql

 

Question One:

I don't know why these hsqldb related files ar not  under ..\web-inf\db_hsqldb\bookstore directory.

 

Question Two:

I  want to check my data stored in hsqldb database and I can run HSQL database Manager,but I dont know how to fill in the URL textfield in the CONNECT Dilogue Box.

the default content of this textfield is jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://localhost and I don't know how to modify it to connect to my database.

 

Can you help me out?
