Hi All, My name is Alfred Certain, and I would like to start an Open Source DbForms based CRM project (Sales Force style). My company GECKO NETWORKS has been using DbForms for several years and have a Comercial CRM that uses dbforms, but now we would like to share some portions of our DbForms based CRM for this new Open Source project. Currently we are looking for intersted people who wants to work with us as a community on this project as it will help your existing DbForms projects and contribute to the whole DbForms community with production tested code. (We believe more people needs to know and start using this great tool: DbForms!!!).
The main idea is to provide a GPL (or similar) licenced CRM (like Sugar CRM) but mantain a comercial version of it, and in order to keep copyright clean, contributed code needs to be disclaimed. With this in mind, we can start the project and share jsp pages for: Accounts, Contacts, Calls, Cases, Knowledge Base, Admin of Users, Roles, Modules, Submodules and a whole PostgreSQL database, some validation classes, Aplication resources files (for i18n), css style sheets and some DevGUI xsl stylesheets to generate JSPs easily with ccs styles and relative paths, but we need to add a new login/registration method to support role based permissions access. To help on the process our programmers staff will be available for directions, support and anything the community needs. As a clue, we have been using our DbForms based CRM with high demanding customers: Banks, Insurance, Cable TV, Call Centers and more.
