I would like to store (in user session, e.g.) used filter and sorting
selections, and then activate/use them when pointing back to the same page. Do
you have any ideas how to do this?

I have a list view having filter (filter tag defining multiple filter options)
and some sortable columns. When I want to edit (or add/delete) a single record
I would like to open a single record view in the same window. With followup
attributes in single view,
I can have a link back to the list view, but it won’t include filter and
sorting selections, so original filters and sortings in the list view get lost.

So the question is how (and where) should I read the original information for
storing it, and how to activate it back?

I can open a new window for single record view and after posting the changed
information, I can use java script to post the list page. This way the page get
refreshed with changes made, but without losing filters and selections. I would
still prefer using always the same window and frame for operations…

Regards,

Kimmo
