Hello, yes i am still using Dbforms. Our main project with it is ready and delivered to the customer. Dbforms works for me without any problems. I still do not need new features. So the only thing i do in the moment is bug fixing.
I tried to find some more distributors for dbforms - but without luck. > am presently contemplating whether I should become active, once more, > in the project or continue evolving DbForms internally with a more > Oracle flavour. I think it's not good idea to bring database specific features into the kernel of dbforms. In the last year there have been developed some really interesting new frameworks for web application on the web. All of them try to build web applications with ajax. Great new features. After a close look over the kernel of dbforms i found that it would be very difficult to integrate ajax into it. DbForms also needs a xml syntax which is not standard conform: <header> <table> </header> <body> </tr><td><td></tr> </body> <footer> </table> </footer> To change this is a lot of work. In the moment i do not have the time for further development of dbforms. For my need it has all features i need. So - if anybody need more - please feel free to commit!
