Well, on occassion, I like to work under dos -- dual boot, and
mostly Red Hat 6.0, but on occassion.... -- and I also like the way that
emacs
19.34 (djgpp) works under dos, and I also like jde, *but* emacs 20.3.1 (
which I also have ) runs jde 2.1.5 fine and all, but emacs 20.3.1 doesn't

run under dos. It insists on working in a window, etc. Perhaps it works
under
dos period??? I would be pleased to discover this. So, my reason is
somewhat idosyncratic, but I prefer the more austere environment. Et
cetera.
I now have a copy of jde 2.1.1, and I'm off to experiment. Thanks.  >>>
