Hi

I've been a long-time user of the JDE on GNU Emacs 19.36 under Windows 95.

I've recently moved jobs, and now use XEmacs (21.2b15, precompiled) under
Win 98. It's either this or JBuilder ...

I downloaded the beta JDE 2.1.6 in order to get the context-sensitive help.
However, on trying C-c C-v C-h I get a message in the modeline that says
"Starting the BeanShell, please wait ..." and it hangs.

I assume the bsh process isn't starting; I know XEmacs on NT has problems
with processes.

Has anyone else seen (and solved!) this problem?

I can of course provide my .emacs file, but I thought I'd just do a quick
post in case this is a common occurrence.

Thanks in advance

Glenn.

P.S. On a related note, I used to use a file called javahelp.el that also
provided context-sensitive help, but now I can't find it - does anyone have
a pointer to it?

P.P.S. This is posted out of necessity with a MS news client - apologies for
any glaring formatting errors!
