Hi Glenn,

Providing an "Intellisense" method completion capability has been on my
list of things to do for a long time. I've put in some infrastructure
required by such a feature, namely a Java parser (see jde-parse), but
lately I've my time has been completely absorbed by writing the JDE
interface to the JDE's new JPDA-based debugger. This is a very large
project and will take me another month or two to complete. Once I have
"finished" (these things are never finished) the debugger interface, I am
inclined to turn to revamping the JDE project management subsystem next.
However, I'll be guided by priorities set by users on this list. Meanwhile,
if anyone is interested in attacking an Intellisense capabliliy, please be
my guest. The JDE source code is now maintained in a cvs repository at
Sunsite Denmark to facilitate collaboration. See the Developer's Corner
page on the network for more info.

Also just so people know, I've been preoccupied for the last week getting
my home system set up for high-speed Internet access via my cable TV
service provider (MediaOne). It's been a real adventure and I'm still not
completely there yet. This has severely limited my ability to respond to
mail in the evenings and on weekends and has also curtailed the time that I
can spend on the JDE. I hope the last piece (access to my employer's
network via a VPN connection) will fall into place today, at which I can
move onto more productive pursuits.
