Here's an initial report regarding my efforts to use the new Linux
JDPA services that are part of the Sun/Blackdown/Inprise jdk1.2.2
pre-release.

I suspect some of my problems might be faqs, and apologies if they
are, but I did try to track down the answers before posting. If anyone
could point to me a archive of the jde mailing list, that would be
great.

As I mentioned, I have installed Sun's 1.2.2 and the latest jde beta
and eieio. I believe this is all installed correctly.

When I start emacs and open a java file, I get the JDEbug menu and I
can set breakpoints. I've set the jdb debugger classpath, but I can
find a setting for specifying the source files. This is as far I've been able to get.

After setting a breakpoint, I select start debugger from the process
menu. I get the message that the debugger has started successfully
but that's it. I don't get any new windows, or frames as described in the release
notes.

Next, I select Process->launch process and get this message:

 No method definition: jde-dbs-proc-display-debug-message,
 "#<jde-dbs-launch-process Launch WordProcessor>"

That's as far as I've gotten. Any pointers appreicated.

Thanks, Spencer
