Xemacs remote with JDE

Hi

I am sitting with my Sparc 5.

I am connecting to a remote server to use Xemacs ver.19.14. That works
just fine.
Though I want the support of JDE since I will do some coding in Java.
I have my .emacs file in my /home/mikael (on the server). I have set the
path in .emacs
to /home/mikael/jde/jde-2.1.5 as it says in the instructions.
When I start up Xemacs I do get an Xemacs window but it does not load
JDE.
