what I think will help. I'm assuming you have downloaded and installed (unzipped)
jpda.
Here are the variables that I have had to set to get things working.
What
you see is what is in my .emacs file, although variables by the same
name
in project files will override these settings. Note also, the default
values for these
variables will not be what you want in all likelyhood. So, if you have
exsiting
project files, make sure they agree with your .emacs settings. Note
also, and you
probably already know this, that the .emacs settings are effective
only in the absence
of a project file. Finally, this is just a small subset of all the
variables that could be set. It represents
what I had to do to get things going. Obviously you will substitute
directory names
that make sense to your environment.
(custom-set-variables
'(jde-compile-option-command-line-args "-g")
'(jde-db-source-directories (quote ("./" "d:/trajectaJava/" "d:/zenith/"
"f:/jdk1.2.2/src/")))
'(jde-db-debugger (quote ("jdebug" . "Class")))
'(jde-bug-jpda-directory "f:/jpda/"))
(custom-set-faces)
Hope this get's you down the road a little further.

I am new to Emacs and JDE, and I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind sharing a working setup for the JDE 2.1.6beta15 for the configuration listed in the Subject for use on NT4.0 SP4? I have been slowly piecing together the differences from the JDE 2.1.5 from the mailing list archive and the release notes, but have still had some problems.
I am also wondering how the Attach Process > On Local/Remote Host is used to connect up with a webserver (in my case, the Weblogic 4.5.1 App server)?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
