Maybe I didn't make myself clear. It is a desirable, though not crucial,
feature to have the breakpoint remain attached to a statement regardless of
how the file is edited and indeed if the feature were implemented I
wouldn't even bother to make it optional. But I don't know an easy way to
do this in Emacs and I feel there are far more important features that need
implementing. If someone wants to implement this feature right now or can
point out to me an easy way to implement it, great. I will include the
implementation or do the easy implementation myself.
