Error loading JDE Beta

I Installed the eieio package, and have the jdpa in my path...  I still get
the following error when loading the new version of the JDE (2.1.6)

Error in init file:  Symbol's value as variable is void: c-frame

Forgive me as I am a newbie to Emacs and the JDE... but it looks great so
far...
