I don't think expanding _all_ the children is quite the idea. The
idea is to expedite the most common case, which is navigating to a
method in the buffer you just visited, i.e., the speedbar
automatically expand itself just enough to see the methods of the
toplevel class. Note that the idea is that the menu of methods should
be visible by default simply by visiting the buffer.

P.S. Another way of thinking of this is that it is an "expand all"
defined "up" from a particular point in the tree, rather than down.
