JDE is very much alive. The coding for JDE 2.1.6beta24 is complete and I am
writing the documentation. As I have not updated the documentation for months,
there is a lot to be written. That is why this release is taking a bit longer
than expected. Also, at the last moment, I decided to port the JDE's speedbar
and imenu support to use Eric Ludlam's new semantic bovinator. The result is a
major enhancement in functionality for both of these tools in beta24.
