Using speedbar since beta23

I am having problems with Speedbar with both 2.16 release and beta 24.  Speedbar does not display a list of methods, just packages, dependencies, etc.  Clicking on those items causes 'error' sound effects.   I am attaching my .emacs and default.el, but I really have not changed them, except to add speedbar 0.11 and bovinator 1.1 to the lisp path.   I have looked through the imenu stuff in 'customize', but have gotten nowhere with that.   I am running Windows 2000, emacs 20.6, jde 2.16, speedbar 0.11, bovinator 1.1.  My shell is eshell 2.1.6.   would appreciate any help.    please respond to me as well as to the list, as I am not on the list.   thanks.... greg gendron \ [EMAIL PROTECTED]
