Nope, machine is single processor machine. And this behavior is pretty
consistent.

Are you on a multiprocessor machine?  I've seen behavior like this on our
dual machines at work, but it never happens on the single processor
machines.  It's not something with JDE, it's with the threading of something
in the GUI classes.  I've not been able to fix it with ours though.  Just
try again.
