XEmacs package structure creates headaches for installing packages, such as
the JDE, that include other kinds of files besides Lisp files.
I have decided to add a customization variable in the next release that
allows you to specify that you are using an external (i.e., outside the
package structure) version of the JDE. This should eliminate the need to
delete the version of the JDE shipped with XEmacs.
