To see the value of a variable, you can select "describe variable..." from
the help menu (in GNUEmacs or XEmacs) or invoke, via meta-X, the list
describe-variable; in this case, use jde-global-classpath for the variable
to look at, as the list Paul provided appends to that atom; the value will
be shown in the window along with the description.
BTW, it works on my Win95 system and I emailed it to work to try on UNIX
like (HP-UX) and Win2000 and WinNT.
