Oops. I had entered the jde-javadoc.el in the lisp dir of the
2.2.5 for reading the documentation and inadvertently left a
control character there. I then recompiled that file, closed
everything down and everything now works great. Don't know how
it jumped to the next directory over and found the semantic-1.3
stuff though. I never put this directory in my path.
Your thoughts led me to the solution. Thank you very much.
