Hi-
It seems that the version of JDE that I am using (v2.2.5) on XEmacs
v21.1.12
(under Solaris 2.6 with a plethora of patches installed) has a curious
behaviour
when it comes to indentation. That is, it seems to apply a basic indentation
of 2 spaces.
I looked at the Emacs variable "c-style-alist" and here is what I noticed:

(("cc-mode" "user") ..... ("gnu" (c-basic-offset . 2) .....)
("java" (c-basic-offset . 4) ....))

As I editted my .java file, I typed M-x java-mode and suddenly newlines were
auto-indented with 4 spaces (instead of 2 spaces that were the default).
When I
typed M-x jde-mode, again I noticed a 2-space indent on new-lines. I want a
4 space indent! (I don't like the 2 space indent!!) Therefore, I reasoned
that this version
of JDE used the "gnu" style of indentation; however, I am not sure how to
re-configure
it to use the "java" style of indentation.

I already tried to "grep" through the .el files that make up the JDE for the
word "gnu"
or "c-style-alist", but I didn't get any hits.

Any clues?
