The current version of EIEIEO shipped with JDE 2.2.6beta7 is 0.13.
But on Erics homepage (http://www.ultranet.com/~zappo/eieio.shtml)
the latest version available is 0.15 which has some substantiel improvements:

+ NEW: EIEIO 0.15 now has better byte-compiler support, and better help integration.
A side effect is that eieio is now much faster during load time. It also contains a few
custom fixes

+ ftp://ftp.ultranet.com:/pub/zappo/public_html/download/eieio-0.15.tar.gz has better
+byte-compiler
support, and much better help system support. The help support now lets eieio based
programs
load faster.

+ ftp://ftp.ultranet.com:/pub/zappo/public_html/download/eieio-0.14.1.tar.gz fixes
+some compile
time problems when used with EIEIO using packages.

+ ftp://ftp.ultranet.com:/pub/zappo/public_html/download/eieio-0.14.tar.gz adds
+multiple inheritance.

Because we think to implement our own package on the basis of latest EIEIO (0.15) now
i have
some questions/suggestions:

- Works JDE with EIEIO 0.15?

- Which version of EIEIO JDE will use, this one shipped with JDE (0.13) or the 0.15
version, installed
in some parallel directory added to the load-path *before* the JDE-dir. IMHO the 0.15
should be used
if it comes in the load-path before the JDE-dir? Is this right??

- Why does JDE include its own version of EIEIO and does not add EIEIO to the
requirements list
like Semantic, Speedbar and Elib??? I think this would be much clearer!

MTIA,
Klaus
