Have any of you tried the hippie-expand command. hippie-expand is an interactive autoloaded Lisp function in `hippie-exp'. Try to expand text before point, using multiple methods. The expansion functions in `hippie-expand-try-functions-list' are tried in order, until a possible expansion is found. Repeated application of `hippie-expand' inserts successively possible expansions. With a positive numeric argument, jumps directly to the ARG next function in this list. With a negative argument or just C-u, undoes the expansion. Here is my hippie-expand-try-functions-list's value is (try-complete-file-name-partially try-complete-file-name try-expand-all-abbrevs try-expand-list try-expand-line try-expand-dabbrev try-expand-dabbrev-all-buffers try-expand-dabbrev-from-kill try-complete-lisp-symbol-partially try-complete-lisp-symbol) Documentation: The list of expansion functions tried in order by `hippie-expand'. To change the behavior of `hippie-expand', remove, change the order of, or insert functions in this list. It works anyhwere in any buffer. I bind the CTRL-TAB key to it this way (global-set-key [C-tab] 'hippie-expand) in my .emacs. HTH, sandip Sandip V.
