I was about to write that JDE worked (wonderfully!
thank you Paul) with XEmacs, but not gnu emacs. Just
before I hit SEND, I started XEmacs, and it turns out
it doesn't work there either anymore.
When emacs (and XEmacs) starts, I see this error
message:
Error in init file: Symbols function definition is
void: defclass-engine

If I comment out the (require 'jde) line of my .emacs
file, the error doesn't occur (but JDE doesn't occur
either ;-).

What does that error mean? What did I do that caused
this that I don't remember doing at all?

Thanks
