I don't know if this might help or how relevent it is but...
In Jan 1998, I published an article in the HP trade magazine, Enterprise
Solutions, whereby I mentioned JDE (it was version 1.6 then). This was
part of a column I write for that magazine (I continue to write it),
mentioning "cool" source code-available software that I have found on the
Internet. I mention this in case evidence is needed to prove that JDE has
been out there awhile.
