JDE is designed specifically for Emacs. XEmacs sometimes does things
differently from Emacs and that causes a compatibility problem with JDE.
That said, I have been using JDE (2.2.6) with XEmacs for over a year now, and
have not had too many problems. (But I haven't made a serious effort to use
the debugger. Based on this mailing list, this seems to be one of the biggest
problems between XEmacs and JDE). Usually, if there is a problem with XEmacs
and JDE, you can get an answer from someone on this list.
