I had the same problem but was able to trace it to semantic 1.4 beta 12.

I was able to show correct behavior by switching back to beta 11.

I was also able to get correct behavior in beta 12 by turning on the
semanticdb.

Boris indicated that turning on the semanticdb also solved the problem for
his installation.

Subject: Class contents are empty in Speedbar

When I doubleclick on a .java file in Speedbar, the
"[+]" turns into a "[-]", but the contents of the
class are empty. I don't see the imports, classes,
methods, etc. It's as if the Java file parsing is
failing, but I don't see any errors in the *Messages*
buffer. Does anyone have an idea about what would
cause this behavior, or how I can gather more
information? This is a little strange. When I first
installed JDE a year ago, the Speedbar part of it just
automatically worked without any configuration. I'm
using:

jde 2.2.9beta5
semantic 1.4beta12
speedbar 0.14beta2
elib 1.0
eieio 0.17beta3

Switching versions of JDE and Speedbar didn't seem to
have any effect. I'm using Emacs 21.1.1 on NT 4.

Thanks in advance,

Boris
