If you are using one of the latest betas, you need to call jde-bug-toggle-local-variables. If you want to have the variables be retrieved after stepping all the time set jde-bug-toggle-local-variables to non-nil.(doing this slows stepping considerably, it is better to toggle this variable as needed) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- jde-2.2.9-beta6 will not require users to use M-x jde-bug-toggle-local-variables anymore.
