Hi all, I wanted to thank you all again for a very happy help experience :-), and for a product which, so far, seems great.
Late Friday evening, I wrote in with a problem setting up the jdebug debugger within emacs jdee. But now, on Saturday at 2:45, it's solved, thanks to this list. I received many very helpful emails from everyone here, very quickly. I can't tell you how happy I am with this great support community. Also, the jdebug debugger seems to work wonderfully. I launched and detached a couple of processes, keeping the debugger running all the time. I was able to step through quickly and easily. In the past, my experience working with a debugger attached to another process has been that I occasionally have to restart the other process (the servlet engine and web server), and therefore the debugger and everything. Not with jdebug, so far. My husband and I have been supporters of linux and open source software for years (him since the late 80's, I think, and me since he converted me in '98). He supports the FSF and was downtown Boston protesting when Sklyerov was arrested. It's great to work at MIT, because they let me use Linux. It makes me so happy that I can find high quality products that live up to the great ideals of open source software. I plan to document exactly how I set this all up, so I can share this tool with my co-workers. Thanks again!!! a happy customer Heather Marie Buch [EMAIL PROTECTED] (of course, if I have another big problem, I'm going to look silly, but I don't care about that now).
