Nothing is being prevented from getting to the list. I get all of the viruses, and then I get messages from various virus filters as well. What it looks like is that four or five subscribers are behind filters that kill viruses and reply to the sender of the virus warning them about sending a virus. Those replies wind up going to the list, but they don't protect the list subscribers from actually getting the virus itself. Anyway, I think it would be wise to set up the list so that non-subscribers can't send messages to the list. This would block the filter messages for starters, and the spam that comes to the list as well. A more radical step would be blocking messages with attachments, which would solve the problem of email viruses as well. --Rafe
